Hi Carlos
Great picture!
I live near London but was on holiday in Portugal this summer.
On a trip to Obidos I saw a “Nitrato do Chile” sign similar to your picture. I thought it was a fantastic example of 1930s advertising and I’ve been looking to get a good quality picture that I can have framed. The jpeg file on the site is around 1MB which is fine for a smallish print but I wondered if you could send me a bigger version so that I can get it printed poster size.
Let me know if there is anything in London that I can take a picture of for you in return.
Kind regards
Jim
Hi!
I am very glad you are interested in this kind of advertising. Unfortunately, the best picture I have is here: http://www.box.net/shared/d3rsrxc44v. I don’t think it is better than the one I have in the blog. If you really, really want to have a very good quality picture I could try to find the original ad but it might take a some time, as it is located far from where I live.
Anyway, the best way for you to retribute is by sending me other examples of this kind of advertising/art and/or their location. If you print it, send me a picture of the final print: I am sure it will look great.
